The Beauty of Systems
Since the dawn of human civilization, humans have created and used social systems to better understand their worlds and to prosper in them. Without systems, our civilizations cease to be — and one could argue that we truly lose what it is that makes us human beings.
As time progressed, societal evolution caused these systems to gradually become more complex, but the advent of the Industrial Revolution and Information Age has resulted in their exponential growth, size and scope. Furthermore, most of these human systems are now partially or completely beholden to Moore's Law and a host of other technology-based "systemic firsts." The result is: human life is now incalculably more complex than it was at humanity's creation.
Preventing and Mitigating Entropy-Based System Failures
Complexity of a human system does not by itself automatically result in widespread human suffering, but when a human system begins to deteriorate or "die" — either through external forces or internal entropy — the consequences can be as serious as they were preventable. It is therefore in the best interest of good leaders, and good people in general, to use our vast knowledge, capabilities, and at times resources to perform maintenance on these systems, such as:
Ensuring a human system is efficient
The Department of Motor Vehicles would cease to exist as an entity if it took you over six months to receive a new license.
Ensuring a human system exists within an appropriate ethical and transparent framework
A civilization's rulers will cease to be legitimate if they exist only to persecute, murder, enslave, or otherwise harm those they claim to govern.
And What Happens When Humanity Creates a System That Is Designed to Replace… Humanity?
For the first time in the history of secular human existence (that we know of), humanity stands at the precipice of a black swan event unlike any other. It appears we are deliberately bringing about our own obsolescence. The efforts to create forms of Artificial Intelligence that are superior to human intellect may usher mankind into an era of unprecedented security and prosperity. Or… such an effort may also bring about the extinction of our species.
So What Do We Do?
If one strips away all of the hyper-intellectual platitudes and diatribes one can effortlessly vomit out into a policy document (via AI) now, the core mission of the 4nzx Institute is to help people live better lives. With that said, the intellectuals and thought leaders that guide the Institute's priority of work are focused on systems.

And Most Importantly…
Our mission is to help the average person navigate the more and more rapid changes affecting society as these systems form, evolve, and impact everyone's lives faster than 99% of people can keep up. Change is good. In fact, change is inevitable. But rapid, chaotic change can also cause humanity to devolve and take a step backward. The faster the change, the greater the need in the social contract of Western civilizations to help usher in that change in a way that ensures the security and prosperity of all of its stakeholders.
